Eleanore is a fourth-year undergraduate student in Industrial Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison planning to graduate in May of 2021. Thereafter, she plans to attend graduate school with a focus in human factors and ergonomics. She is passionate about finding innovative and informed solutions that improve people’s qualities of life, particularly from a healthcare point-of-view.

Eleanore joined Werner Lab in the Spring of 2020, engaging in projects pertaining to topics such as emergency department disposition decision making in older adults as well as the creation of a semantic dictionary outlining the terminologies utilized by caregivers of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. She has also recently begun work on the @HOME project, centered round assisting caregivers of pediatric patients with medical complexities.

Outside of Werner Lab, Eleanore stands as the elected outreach chair for the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society UW-Madison Student Chapter, where she fulfills roles such as coordinating volunteer efforts within the UW community, local community, and national community, working with the ISyE department to organize the ISyE Annual Symposium, and managing the chapter’s social media platforms.
