When growing up Tom Martell desperately wanted to be Batman, unfortunately a few months after his eight birthday his parents bough down the hammer and told him that the Easter bunny, the tooth fairy, and to much of his disappointment even Batman were not real. Ever since realizing that a career being batman wasn’t just impracticable, but also impossible he has wanted to be an engineer, and more specifically an industrial engineer.
Tom is a Master’s of industrial and Systems Engineering student focusing on health systems engineering at the University of Wisconsin Madison.
Tom received his Bachelor’s in Industrial and Systems Engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin Madison. Where he worked in industry for 2 years through internships and co-ops.
Tom joined the Werner Lab in the fall of 2016 to help work on the vizHome research project. VizHome is looking into the personal health information management of at home care.
